Quiet a few years back,while strolling through Sunday flea market along with my dad, I came across a classic 1980’s cooking book.
It has been quiet a while since I transformed intricate recipes from its pages to reality.Thereby, over this weekend I decided to give an experimental twist to the Prawn Chowder.
In a vessel,melt a knob of butter.Add 2 medium sized chopped onion and saute it .Once translucent,add 4 crushed cloves of garlic.
Add salt and pepper as per liking and saute for a minute.
Add boiling water and diced potato (3 medium sized) to the vessel.Cover the container with lid and allow the broth to simmer for 15-20 mins .
Once done,add 250gms of prawns along with 500 ml of milk, 100gms of shredded cheddar cheese and 50 ml of cream.
Once the prawns are perfectly cooked ,switch off the stove and stir in chives.
Serve this creamy delight with freshly baked bread .
